How a sewing machine and hair accessories are reversing the course for girls’ education in Africa

Diyu introduces us to Mary Grace…a teen who uses a simple sewing machine to help girls around the world get an education. Mary Grace noticed the inequality when it comes to education for girls in sub-Saharan Africa. So, she decided to do something about it. At age 12, she started “Reverse the Course”, a business and a foundation, that pays the tuition for girls to go to school by selling products she makes by hand. So far her sales have allowed 32 girls to go to school, her goal? 100.
