What it’s really like being a doctor

Ever wonder what a day in the life of a doctor is like? Nicole reports from Long Island College Hospital to find out. She meets Dr. Millicent Comrie and follows her throughout her day. First up: getting ready for surgery. Nicole scrubs in and learns how to prep a patient for the procedure.Plus Nicole gets an inside look inside an operating room. Dr. Comrie explains the tools that will be used during the surgery and explains how she decided to become a doctor.
After surgery, Dr. Comrie makes rounds to check on her patients. Dr. Comrie is also an obstetrician, a doctor that delivers babies. She takes Nicole to the birthing suite of the hospital and introduces her to an expecting mother. Next, she visits with Kemba a 15 year old girl who has scheduled a “well” visit.
